TCL 2600-12 Hub Series [Tcl, Inc.]

The TCL 2600-12 products are active Ethernet Hubs (concentrators) forstar topology 10 MB-per-second unshielded twisted pair networks. TheseHubs provide twelve modular RJ-45 twisted pair links and either an AUI(Attachment Unit Interface) and Thinnet 10Base2 BNC port, or an AUI andFiber Optic interface. These units may serve as either standalone ordepartmental concentrators. The 2600-12 series Hubs are compatible withthe IEEE 802.3 10Base-T standard.All models of the 2600-12 series feature Auto Partitioning, CollisionPropagation, Packet Regeneration, Jabber Protection, and Illegal PacketSuppression. The maximum allowable distance between the 2600-12 and aworkstation or network device (including other hubs) via unshieldedtwisted pair wiring is 100 meters. Hubs may be networked together byusing the AUI, BNC, or Fiber Optic connectors, thus saving valuable RJ-45ports for user applications. The 2600-12 hubs also have Polarity Sensingwith automatic correction, and Network Integrity Monitoring to ensure aproper link between the hub and the station. These units have diagnosticLED indicators (power, activity, link) which display Hub status.Internal 50-Ohm termination of the 10Base2 BNC port is accomplished viaan externally accessible jumper.TCL 2600-12 10Base-T Hubs feature rugged, yet lightweight, metalenclosures. Their compact size makes them ideal for either desktop orwall-mounted applications (using the optional mounting bracket P/N A6-WB). Our rackmount kit (P/N 2600-RMK) accommodates two units mountedside-by-side in a 19-inch rack.
